YOUR SERVICE, EXPLAINED

Terms of service

Terms for using RegisterDomain.uk and ordering domain registration, renewal and transfer services from STEINBERG LTD.

These terms apply to RegisterDomain.uk, operated by STEINBERG LTD, UK company number 17242845, registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. Contact us using the contact form or in writing at that address.

Your order

Review the domain spelling, registrant details, selected term, price and applicable policies before paying. You must have authority to provide the details and request the service. A search result or basket entry does not reserve a domain. We accept a registration, renewal or transfer for fulfilment only through the confirmed order process; successful payment does not guarantee that a registry will accept the request.

Registration and registry rules

Domain services are subject to Openprovider’s registration agreement and the applicable registry rules, including accurate contact information, verification, prohibited use and dispute procedures. For .uk and .co.uk, you enter a separate registration contract with Nominet as well as your service agreement with STEINBERG LTD. Read the registrar agreement, Nominet terms and registration rules linked below before requesting registration or renewal. We may need additional information or action from you before a request completes. We will show an order requiring review instead of representing an unconfirmed registration as complete.

Keep your registrant details accurate and notify us of changes within seven days. Respond to registrar or registry verification requests within the deadline they give you. Inaccurate details or missed verification can result in suspension or cancellation. For .com and .net, ICANN’s applicable dispute policies also apply.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) for standard-price domains. The first-year price and annual renewal price are separate. Your chosen term and total price are shown before you pay. Future renewal prices can change. A three-year offer, if selected, is an initial registration term and is not the same as a recurring annual price. Any optional product must be selected separately. You authorise only the amount and term shown in the checkout you confirm.

Cancellation and refunds

Consumer cancellation rights and our handling of failed or duplicate charges are explained in the refund policy. Where you expressly request immediate performance of a service during the cancellation period, we record that request. The effect on cancellation depends on the service performed and the applicable law. These terms do not remove statutory consumer rights.

Your account and domain

Keep your contact information accurate and protect your sign-in and recovery methods. Do not share passwords or authorisation codes in public messages. We may require evidence before changing access or registrant ownership. We do not merge accounts merely because names match.

DNS and third-party services

You are responsible for reviewing requested DNS, nameserver and DNSSEC changes. These can interrupt a website or email service. Keep a copy of working records and use your service provider’s instructions. A domain purchase does not include website hosting, a website builder or email unless separately described in an accepted order.

Renewal and expiry

Check the expiry date and renewal setting in your account. Renewal is complete only after confirmation. If a domain expires, registry-dependent suspension, recovery fees or deletion may follow. We cannot guarantee recovery after expiry or deletion. Any renewal or recovery charge must be disclosed before you agree.

Acceptable use and suspension

Do not use the service unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, misuse account access or attack infrastructure. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, legal requirements or registry instructions. Where practicable and lawful, we explain the reason and the next steps. Disputed ownership and registry complaints may need resolution under the relevant registry procedure.

Problems, liability and governing law

Contact us promptly about a service problem and include the order reference. We will investigate and explain the available remedy. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts your statutory rights. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without removing mandatory consumer protections or court rights that apply where you live.

Changes

The version accepted with an order is retained with that order. Changes to these terms apply as stated when published or presented for a new order; they do not silently replace a recorded purchase agreement.
